General Info

Meeting place: The Crossing, on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Who We Are

Geneva. In the city of Geneva, Switzerland, the 16th century reformer John Calvin led a community of believers, while seeking and teaching a right and biblical understanding of the church Christ founded. Geneva Campus Church honors the living tradition of the Reformed faith and the historic confessions of the Christian church.

Campus. Situated on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, Geneva is a multigenerational community of faith and service. We see the university as our primary setting for ministry. We believe we are called to equip and develop our student members while they are with us and to send them out to serve God wherever they go.

Church. Geneva was founded in 1967 as an outreach ministry to students, and in 1991 was organized as a congregation of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. To learn more about Geneva, contact Rev. Mike Winnowski at the church office: (608.616.0301) or

What We Do

We exist as a congregation to glorify God. We affirm Christ crucified, risen and coming again. And we recognize his presence in us during our earthly lives through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

Sunday worship services begin at 10 a.m. Our Adult Education class meets at 9 a.m. mid-September through mid-May. A nursery is provided during the worship service. Children ages four through Grade 4 attend Children’s Worship.

University Ministry at Geneva includes multigenerational ministry to and with students and faculty, and engagement of the university at large through other events.

Fellowship activities include potlucks, households (small groups that meet in homes for fellowship, study, and prayer), and a post-undergrad young adult group. Bible study, discipleship, and prayer groups are offered at various times.

Youth Ministry programs—nursery, Sunday school, Children’s Worship and youth group–guide, encourage and instruct children in the faith, within the setting of a church family.

Service projects are part of the life of Geneva and include participation in local programs such as The Road Home, as well as financial and prayer support of local and international missions and missionaries.

We welcome participation in Geneva’s ministries. For more information contact the church office at 608.616.0301 or email
