Children are a treasured part of our congregation. We strive to make each child feel known and valued.
The youngest in our congregation are a welcome joy and often stay with their families for all or part of the service. When children need room to wiggle and play the nursery downstairs is available. Children ages 0-3 years are lovingly and safely cared for during service by screened volunteers.
Children ages 2-4 years old participate in play-based class that meets downstairs during the 10 am service. The curriculum gently introduces simple Bible truths through age-appropriate songs, activities, and stories.
The focus of our children’s education is Bible literacy and developing relationships with God. Children ages 4-Grade 4 start worship with the congregation and meet as a class part way through the service. Students thrive as they develop relationships with teachers and each other in small groups and learn through stories, activities, and games.
PreK- First graders are learning from the Jesus Storybook Bible Curriculum.
Second – Fourth Graders are studying from the Faith Alive – Dwell Curriculum.
Middle School. Student ages 10-13 meet weekly for Bible stories and discipleship during the 9am Sunday School hour with enthusiastic teachers. The youth group also meets 1-2 times per month on Sunday evenings in students’ homes for fellowship and fun. Occasional outings with the high school group provide positive relationships and role models within the Geneva community.
High School. High School students meet during the 9am Sunday School hour for catechism and mentoring with committed leaders. Occasional outings with the middle school group add another dimension of fun interaction within the church community.
Every year, the students work on a special program for our Christmas service. Students help us celebrate with music, drama, and loads of joy!
